Job summary

Citi Hungary is seeking a diligent Fund Accounting Analyst to perform fund valuation analyses and reconciliations within the Issuer and Investor Services Middle Office Operations team. You will coordinate with front office, custodians, and other partners to resolve complex issues in a global banking environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely delivery, and adherence to procedures, offering a hybrid work model and opportunities to deepen expertise in financial operations.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Fund Accounting, Transaction Services, or a related Middle Office Operations role.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
• A foundational understanding of financial instruments and the trade lifecycle.
• Experience with fund accounting platforms (e.g., Multifonds) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a responsive and knowledgeable point of contact for inquiries from portfolio managers and other operational teams, fostering relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor all work activities to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to procedures and controls, actively supporting fraud quality control measures.
• Contribute to the team by assisting in training material creation, supporting procedural changes, and performing in-depth analysis of transactions.
• Assess risk in decision-making, protecting the firm and clients while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex questions and research items from colleagues.
