Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a Fund Accountant to support financial reporting, fund operations, and investor reporting for multiple investment funds. The role provides exposure to GAAP, ASC 946, valuations, and fund administration in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities include preparing GAAP financials, supporting capital calls and distributions, coordinating with third-party administrators, and assisting with audits, tax reporting, and investor reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of fund accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and fund accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience with PE/VC or alternative investments preferred.

Fund Accountant

About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Fund Accountant to support the financial reporting, fund operations, and investor reporting activities of multiple investment funds. This role offers exposure to fund accounting, audit support, valuations, and fund administration within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and ASC 946.
• Support capital calls, distributions, and investor capital account reporting.
• Coordinate with third-party fund administrators to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with investor reporting, audits, and tax reporting processes.
• Support valuation and compliance reporting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of fund accounting experience, preferably within private equity, venture capital, or alternative investments.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and investment fund accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience with fund accounting systems such as Investran, eFront, Allvue, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
