The Select Group seeks an experienced Functional UAT Lead in Austin, TX to support a fast-paced enterprise environment. This hands-on role creates test plans, writes and executes test scripts, manages defects, and partners with Product, Project Management, and Development teams to validate new functionality before release.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and experienced leading manual UAT efforts within large enterprise environments, capable of juggling multiple testing

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Manual QA, Functional Testing, or UAT.
• Proven experience creating manual test plans and test scripts from business requirements.
• Strong experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience working in enterprise environments supporting frequent software releases.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.

This role supports a high volume of short-duration enhancements rather than a few long-term projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and experienced leading manual UAT efforts within large enterprise environments.

• Create and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts from business requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Document, track, and retest defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working in enterprise environments supporting frequent software releases.
• Hands‑on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing SAP applications (SAP Commerce, SAP S/4HANA, or similar).
• Background supporting retail, e-commerce, contact center, or customer service platforms.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who has led manual UAT efforts in a high-volume enterprise environment. Rather than spending months on a single implementation, you've successfully managed multiple testing initiatives simultaneously—creating test plans, executing testing, driving defect resolution, and partnering cross‑functionally to deliver high‑quality releases.
