The S&P Product Portfolio Delivery team is seeking a Functional Tester with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills and a passion for quality assurance. The Functional Tester will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to develop and execute test strategies, validate system functionality, coordinate testing activities, identify and manage defects, and ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
Review and analyze business, functional, and technical requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, consistent, and testable.
Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business requirements, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Identify, document, track, prioritize, and retest defects through resolution while collaborating closely with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.

Maintain end-to-end traceability between business requirements, test cases, test execution results, defects, and delivered functionality.
Support test environment readiness, test data preparation, deployment validation, and release verification activities.
Communicate testing progress, risks, issues, dependencies, defect trends, and overall quality status clearly to project stakeholders.
Coordinate and support UAT activities, including test preparation, execution support, defect triage, and status reporting.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards, documentation, and best practices.
Validate system functionality, usability, business processes, integrations, and data accuracy across multiple applications and workflows.
Perform production validation and post-implementation testing following system releases and deployments.

Proven experience translating business requirements and acceptance criteria into detailed, traceable test cases and test scripts.
Experience executing manual test cases and documenting test results, evidence, and defects.
Working knowledge of API testing using Postman, including validating API requests, responses, status codes, and data.
Experience validating end-to-end business processes, system functionality, integrations, and data integrity.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum project environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to identify, document, track, prioritize, and retest defects through successful resolution.
Strong understanding of QA processes, SDLC, defect life cycle, requirements traceability, and software quality practices.
