Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking an entry-level Functional Safety Engineer to help ensure the safety and reliability of autonomous robotic vehicles. You will identify hazards, apply STPA, and support safety requirements across the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams, conduct safety analyses, and help prepare safety documentation while aligning with ISO and IEC standards to support safe, compliant vehicle development.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidate with foundational knowledge of functional safety processes
• Familiarity with functional safety standards such as ISO 25119, ISO 13849, IEC 61508
• Ability to perform safety analyses including STPA, FMEA, and FTA
• Collaborative with hardware and software teams to integrate safety requirements

We are seeking an entry-level Functional Safety Engineer to ensure the safety and reliability of our autonomous robotic vehicles. The role involves identification of hazards and risks using Systems Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA), supporting definition of requirements, and implementing measures throughout the product development lifecycle. The Functional Safety Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into the design, development, verification, and validation of our technologies, adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsbilities

• Good understanding of Functional Safety lifecycles in general.
• Conduct safety analysis, including STPA, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure safety requirements are allocated to the design and development process.

• Ensure compliance with internal safety processes and workflows, which are loosely based on a mixture of relevant safety standards (e.g., ISO 25119, ISO 13849, IEC 61508) and regulatory requirements.
