Job summary

Torc is seeking a Functional Safety Systems Engineer for the Compute Platform Systems team. You will work on creating and validating functional safety cases for autonomous trucks, spanning hardware, software, and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in automotive-related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Broad understanding of software, hardware, networking, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with safety analysis processes (HAZOP, FMEA, STPA, FTA).

Responsibilities

• Provide functional safety analysis, assessments, and collaboration to establish a functional safety case for autonomous trucks.
• Lead safety discussions across hardware, software, validation, and operations.
• Derive safety requirements and ensure architectures meet safety concepts.
• Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments to define safety goals.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to advance safety deliverables.
