Job summary

PeoplePilot is seeking a Functional Owner to lead technical projects across infotainment and consumer electronics domains. You will leverage your development experience to shepherd features from concept through delivery, coordinating with domain teams to align goals and milestones.

You must communicate clearly with all levels of the business, champion process improvements, and push for higher quality software across the domain.

Qualifications

• Expert in at least one field: Infotainment, mobile, consumer electronics.
• Proven technical leadership and an innovative track record.
• Experience in the technology or automotive industries.
• Experience with rapid prototyping for software, hardware, and mechanical design.
• Experience with non-traditional input/output technologies (speech, gesture, touch, haptics).
• Excellent ability to communicate complex concepts to all levels of the business.

Job description

As a Functional Owner, you will be expected to perform technical project management tasks to drive your team to success. Using your technical development experience, you will work closely with your domain to deliver the given featureset from start-to-finish. The Functional Owner must have extremely strong communication skills in order to properly drive their own teams and efficiently provide status updates to those who need it. It is expected that the Functional Owner will look for ways to improve upon processes and tools used within their domains or in the organization to increase efficiency and quality of the SW for his/her domain

Experience

• Expert in at least one of the following fields: Infotainment, mobile, consumer electronics
• Exceptional reputation as an innovator based on having created forward looking research, projects, and award winning publications
• Proven technical leadership
• Experience working in the technology industry or automotive industry
• Experience with the use of rapid prototyping tools for software and hardware, electronics, and mechanical design for consumer electronics and future device platforms
• Experience with non-traditional input and output technologies, such as speech, gesture, touch, haptics, etc.
• Ability to communicate advanced and complex concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels of the business
• Outstanding communication abilities with specific skills in presenting, explaining, convincing, justifying, and reporting
