Job summary

GAP Solutions Inc. seeks a Biologist (Functional Genomics) to support NCATS/NIH activities at the NIH Rockville campus. You will contribute to high-throughput RNAi and CRISPR screen work, analyze results, and help optimize functional genomics pipelines.

The role requires a PhD in a relevant field, 2+ years of lab experience, and proficiency in data analysis tools and MS Office. This is a day-shift, full-time position at NIH Rockville.

Qualifications

• PhD in cell or molecular biology, genetics, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience in biological sciences.
• Experience with maintaining records of experiments.
• Proficient in Graphpad Prism, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with federal task leader to learn and apply RNAi and CRISPR assay development.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks, databases and inventory files.
• Analyze data and write reports summarizing findings.
• Operate and calibrate lab equipment for quantitative or qualitative analyses.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and QC of reagents and cell culture workflows.
