Job Description

The Functional Business Consultant serves as a subject matter expert in business systems or processes within their assigned area. Responsibilities include representing their expertise on internal and client projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, process improvement, conducting research, root cause analysis, documentation, client interaction, training, testing, supporting systems, and developing reports.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop business requirements, system specifications, process flows, and manage process changes.
  2. Support adoption of operational best practices and standard procedures related to their area.
  3. Collaborate with business, IT, and users to improve applications and processes.
  4. Research and resolve business and technical problems, propose improvements.
  5. Conduct testing, including creating test plans and cases, and perform User Acceptance Testing.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business analysis, project management, or process improvement, including 1 year in a specific relevant area.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with client relationships, pharmaceutical claims data, analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn new processes/software, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Rx Claims systems, PBM or healthcare experience, query usage.
Physical Demands
  • Occasional non-standard hours and travel; sitting, handling, talking, hearing, reaching, standing, walking, lifting up to 10 pounds, visual acuity requirements.
