Job summary

Frisco ISD is seeking a Special Education Aide to assist in Functional Academics (FA) settings and general education integration. The role supports students with disabilities, helps prepare instructional materials, and aids in implementing IEP goals under the supervision of a campus principal.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, with preference for an Associate degree and SBEC certification progress.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; Associate degree or two years of college preferred.
• Must complete SBEC certification to obtain Educational Aide Certification.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; communicate effectively; knowledge of general office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Help teacher prepare instructional materials.
• Assist with administrative records and required reports.
• Provide assistance to substitute teachers.
• Assist students with physical disabilities as needed.
• Help manage behavior and support IEP goals.
• Supervise students inside and outside the classroom.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in staff development.
