Shahbaz & Associates CPAs PLLC is seeking a Tax Advisor for remote work with occasional in-person meetings in the Richmond area. The role focuses on preparation and review of federal and Virginia tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and trusts.

You will also review offshore work, perform tax planning for high-net-worth clients, and serve as the main client liaison, explaining results clearly and meeting deadlines from a remote setup in ET hours.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of hands-on tax preparation and review in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of partnership and S corp taxation (basis, K-1s, allocations).
• Able to review others’ work and provide constructive feedback.
• Experience with professional tax software (CCH Axcess, UltraTax, Lacerte or similar).
• Strong written communication and ability to explain tax concepts to clients.
• Self-directed, organized remote work with ET business-hours availability.
• Based in or near Richmond, VA.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and review federal and Virginia returns for individuals, partnerships, S corp, C corp and trusts.
• Review first-pass prep from offshore team, provide feedback and sign off on quality.
• Carry out tax planning projects for high-net-worth and business-owner clients.
• Act as point of contact for assigned clients; gather information and explain results clearly.
• Research technical issues and write memos on positions taken.
• Respond to IRS and state notices.
• Meet Richmond-area clients in person from time to time.
