Fully Remote Senior Tax Manager - Trusts and Estates

Compensation includes a base salary of $160,000 - $210,000 per year, potential sign-on bonus, and annual performance-based bonuses.

Job Details:

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance for trusts and estates, including federal and state income, gift, and estate tax returns.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies for high net worth individuals and their estates.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients on estate and trust tax matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure that all tax strategies are aligned with the client's financial goals and objectives.
  • Stay informed on current tax laws and regulations and communicate any changes that may impact clients to the appropriate parties.
  • Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide solutions that minimize tax liability and increase client wealth.
  • Review and approve trust and estate tax work papers and returns prepared by junior staff.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning and compliance for trusts and estates.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations related to trusts and estates.
  • Strong understanding of fiduciary tax and estate planning strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring junior staff.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
