Job summary

The Lilac Center in North Kansas City, MO is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LSCSW or LCPC) to deliver outpatient therapy to individuals, couples, and families. Hybrid role with a 60k–70k salary, 26-client caseload, and a focus on evidence-based care across a team of clinicians.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license: LSCSW or LCPC in Kansas and/or Missouri
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
• Evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT)
• DBT therapy willingness/ability
• Ability to provide therapy independently
• Comfort using EHR and telehealth platforms
• Experience with adolescents, trauma, couples, or similar populations
• Outpatient or group practice experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of bio-psycho-social needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Facilitate individual and group sessions; teach DBT skills in Intensive Outpatient Program
• Provide individual, family, and couples outpatient psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities
• Obtain parent/patient feedback on programming and goals
• Complete timely and compliant clinical documentation
• Maintain an active caseload of ~26 clients per week (min. 15)
• Participate in clinical supervision and team meetings
• Adhere to ethical standards and licensing requirements

A Licensed Mental Health Therapist with the Lilac Center provides high-quality outpatient therapy to individuals, couples, and/or families. Success in this role means maintaining a consistent caseload, delivering evidence-based care, and completing documentation accurately and on time while collaborating with a supportive clinical team.

Licensed Therapist Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of bio-psycho-social needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Facilitate or co-facilitate individual and group sessions, teaching DBT skills in our Intensive Outpatient Program
• Provide individual, family, and/or couples outpatient psychotherapy services using evidence-based modalities
• Actively seek parent and/or patient feedback regarding programming and therapy goals
• Complete timely and compliant clinical documentation
• Maintain an active caseload of approximately26 clients per week; a minimum of 15 clients per week required
• Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, or team meetings as required
• Adhere to ethical standards, licensing requirements, and company policies

Requirements

Licensed Therapist Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license: LSCSW or LCPC in Kansas and/or Missouri
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
• Strong background in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT)
• Possess or be willing to learn DBT therapy
• Ability to provide therapy independently
• Comfort using an EHR and telehealth platforms
• Experience conducting psychotherapy with specific populations (adolescents, trauma, couples, etc.)
• Experience in outpatient or group practice settings
  

Licensed Therapist Preferred Qualifications

• Preference for DBT therapy knowledge, with training available for the right candidate.
