Job summary

Lilac Center, a leading outpatient mental health practice, seeks a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LSCSW or LCPC) to join our North Kansas City clinic. The role offers a productivity-based compensation of $60,000–$70,000 per year, with bi-weekly pay and hybrid scheduling.

You will maintain a steady caseload, deliver evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, and families, and complete documentation accurately and on time while collaborating with a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license: LSCSW or LCPC in Kansas and/or Missouri.
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
• Experience in outpatient therapy and evidence-based practices.
• Ability to provide therapy independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of bio-psycho-social needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate individual and group sessions, teaching DBT skills in our Intensive Outpatient Program.
• Provide individual, family, and/or couples outpatient psychotherapy services using evidence-based modalities.
• Maintain an active caseload of approximately 26 clients per week; a minimum of 15 clients per week required.
• Complete timely and compliant clinical documentation.
• Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, or team meetings as required.

Licensed Therapist Responsibilities

• Actively seek parent and/or patient feedback regarding programming and therapy goals
• Complete timely and compliant clinical documentation
• Maintain an active caseload of approximately26 clients per week; a minimum of 15 clients per week required
• Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, or team meetings as required
• Adhere to ethical standards, licensing requirements, and company policies

Requirements

Licensed Therapist Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license: LSCSW or LCPC in Kansas and/or Missouri
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
• Strong background in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT)
• Possess or be willing to learn DBT therapy
• Ability to provide therapy independently
• Comfort using an EHR and telehealth platforms
• Experience conducting psychotherapy with specific populations (adolescents, trauma, couples, etc.)
• Experience in outpatient or group practice settings

Licensed Therapist Preferred Qualifications

• Preference for DBT therapy knowledge, with training available for the right candidate.
