Job summary

The Lilac Center invites a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our outpatient team. You will deliver evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, and families, maintain a steady caseload, and document accurately within an integrated clinical team.

This hybrid role in North Kansas City, MO offers a productivity-based earning potential of $60,000–$70,000, with bi-weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. A strong background in CBT/DBT and comfort with EHR/telehealth are essential.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted license: LSCSW or LCPC in Kansas and/or Missouri.
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
  • Strong background in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT).
  • Possess or be willing to learn DBT therapy.
  • Ability to provide therapy independently.
  • Comfort using an EHR and telehealth platforms.
  • Experience conducting psychotherapy with adolescents, trauma, couples, etc.
  • Experience in outpatient or group practice settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of bio-psycho-social needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate individual and group sessions, teaching DBT skills in our Intensive Outpatient Program.
  • Provide individual, family, and/or couples outpatient psychotherapy services using evidence-based modalities.
  • Actively seek parent and/or patient feedback regarding programming and therapy goals.
  • Complete timely and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Maintain an active caseload of approximately 26 clients per week; a minimum of 15 per week.
  • Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, or team meetings as required.
  • Adhere to ethical standards, licensing requirements, and company policies.

A Licensed Mental Health Therapist with the Lilac Center provides high-quality outpatient therapy to individuals, couples, and/or families. Success in this role means maintaining a consistent caseload, delivering evidence-based care, and completing documentation accurately and on time while collaborating with a supportive clinical team.

Licensed Therapist Responsibilities

Requirements
Licensed Therapist Required Qualifications
