Job summary

UW–Madison invites applications for a fully funded Postdoctoral Research Associate in structural biology. The role focuses on cryo-EM and X-ray crystallography to study protein complexes related to glycosylation biology and disease, with opportunities to engage in AI-assisted drug discovery.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative group spanning structural biology, chemical biology, and cell biology, aiming to translate discoveries into chemical probes and therapeutic strategies.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in structural biology or a closely related field
• Preference for candidates with no more than one year of postdoctoral experience
• Demonstrated experience in protein expression and purification
• Experience with cryo-EM or X-ray crystallography

Responsibilities

• Lead structural studies using cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, and integrative approaches
• Contribute to structure-based and AI-assisted drug discovery projects
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to link structures to function and mechanisms
• Translate structural findings into chemical probes and potential therapies
