Job summary

Holiday Inn Express & Suites South Hill is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities and equipment in top condition. You will perform regular inspections, routine maintenance, and contribute ideas for preventative measures to extend equipment life and reduce safety risks.

On-call availability for nights and weekends is preferred, and you’ll work with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems while maintaining strong communication and attention to detail in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Must have strong understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and procedures.
• Willingness to respond on nights and weekends for on-call requests.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and work ethic.
• Understanding of heating/air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Record when equipment was serviced and repairs were made.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance measures to keep equipment operating efficiently and reduce safety risks.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal operation and repairs as needed.
• Inspect building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs as required.
• Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed.

Our company has an opening for a maintenance professional who has the know-how to keep our facilities and equipment in top shape. You’ll conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance and come up with ideas for preventative measures we can use to maximize the life of our equipment and minimize safety risks. If you have a passion for fixing things, we want you to bring your experience to our team. Ability to be on call for the weekends preferred.

• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs
• Examine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when needed
• Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and procedures
• Needs to have availability to respond on nights and weekends to on-call maintenance requests
• Stellar communication skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
• Should be able to demonstrate understanding of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent

Compensation: $17 - $19 hourly
