Goodwill Excel in Indiana is seeking a Full-Time Early Childhood Educator to support the Kids Excel program, providing free, temporary childcare for students aged seven weeks to twelve years, applying the HighScope curriculum to create engaging learning experiences.

You will manage safety and development, document progress, and communicate with parents, adapting teaching methods for inclusivity and diverse needs. The role offers a collaborative environment and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 1 year of childcare experience preferred.
• Coursework in early childhood development preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Submit to annual TB screening.
• Proficient with Outlook, Google Apps, Excel and Word.

Our innovative Kids Excel program offers free, temporary childcare for students at the Excel Center, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged seven weeks to twelve years. Your efforts will support our adult learners, allowing them to focus on their education and personal growth. We offer competitive compensation and a schedule that provides a healthy work-life balance, with hours ranging from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and a shorter day on Friday. Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a childcare setting preferred.
• Coursework/training in early childhood development preferred.
• Child/infant CPR and first aid certified or willing to obtain.
• Submit to the required annual TB screening.
• Has working knowledge of computer programs to perform clerical tasks: Microsoft Outlook, Google Applications, Excel, Word, and web browsers.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Compensation

$14 hourly
