Job summary

Lingarogroup is seeking a backend engineer to design and develop scalable server‑side logic and APIs, with React/Next.js integration and collaboration with front‑end teams.

You will work with MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB, implement security practices, optimize performance, and deploy on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). English B2 required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the server‑side logic of web applications, implement scalable and efficient server‑side components and APIs.
• Build React/Next.js–based applications.
• Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases to store and retrieve data efficiently; design and optimize database schemas for performance and scalability.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and web services to enhance application functionality; develop custom APIs to facilitate communication between front‑end and back‑end systems.
• Implement security best practices to protect against common web application vulnerabilities and conduct regular security audits.
• Optimize server‑side code for maximum speed and scalability; monitor and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of components.
• Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage and track changes to the codebase.
• Conduct thorough testing of server‑side components to identify and fix bugs.
• Collaborate with QA engineers for comprehensive testing.
• Document back‑end systems and APIs comprehensively.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in Java server‑side programming.
• Thorough understanding of React/Next.js core principles, React Router, hooks, Redux (or similar) workflows, web performance and security.
• Experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Proven experience in back‑end development and building scalable web applications.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Previous experience in front‑end development with Docker is a plus.
• Experience with Node.js is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and technologies.
• English at least B2.
