Job summary

Lingarogroup in United States is seeking a senior Python backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services on Microsoft Azure, with a focus on RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Strong commercial experience in Python backend development at a senior level.
• Mandatory: hands-on experience developing software across distributed services in Microsoft Azure.
• Mandatory: practical experience with Azure Databricks, including Unity Catalog and serverless capabilities on Azure.
• Mandatory: strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud solutions and services.
• Proven experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI and/or Django.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
• Practical experience working with Docker in production environments.
• Practical experience with SQLAlchemy, including ORM, database sessions, queries, and data modeling.
• Experience with Celery for asynchronous processing, background jobs, and scheduled tasks.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably Oracle, or very good knowledge of other relational databases.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, and serverless computing on Azure.
• Experience with cloud architecture patterns, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Version control proficiency with Git and experience with collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud and backend environments.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and communicate effectively in English.
• Kubernetes experience is a plus.
