Job summary

PlusAI, a Silicon Valley-based physical AI company, seeks a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer to own the product surface on data and simulation platforms. You’ll build web applications, APIs, and backend services used by engineers, operations, and external partners to run simulations and analyze results.

You will work across the stack from Python services to TypeScript interfaces, using React/SQL, and you’ll contribute to reliability, observability, and scalable design.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with backend services and REST APIs, SQL, and modern frontend (React/TypeScript).
• Proficiency in Python for services and tooling.
• Ability to turn complex workflows into simple, reliable interfaces.
• Self-driven with ownership and end-to-end project drive.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship fullstack applications end to end: Python services and REST APIs, relational data modeling, asynchronous jobs, modern TypeScript frontend interfaces, deployment, testing, observability, and production reliability.
• Build scenario authoring and management tools, including interactive editors for creating, parameterizing, and versioning test scenarios, and reproducible scenario libraries shared across teams.
• Build interfaces for large-scale simulation and drive-log replay: launching and tracking runs, browsing results, comparing regressions across releases, and triaging failures down to individual scenarios.
• Build shared application foundations - authentication, access control, multi-tenancy, and API conventions - that serve internal engineers, operations teams, and external partners from one coherent platform.
• Ensure that your work is performed in accordance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
