Job summary

AHCC is seeking a Youth Pastor to lead the middle and high school ministry with a clear vision for discipleship and follow-through. You will teach, mentor, and provide relational leadership to students, families, and volunteers, keeping youth ministry connected to the life and mission of AHCC.

The role requires guiding weekly programming, partnering with parents, recruiting volunteers, and managing budgets while maintaining a vibrant relationship with Jesus and alignment with AHCC values.

Qualifications

• A vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Demonstrates spiritual calling, giftedness and maturity for ministry leadership.
• Able to lead teams, organize programs and communicate effectively with students and adults.
• Experience in youth or family ministry leadership, paid or volunteer.
• Teaching that consistently points students to Jesus.
• Evangelistic heart with hospitable demeanor.
• Aligned with the mission, values and culture of AHCC.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all weekly programming for middle school and high school students, ensuring each gathering is welcoming and discipleship focused.
• Articulate a clear vision for AHCC students and execute it with organizational follow-through.
• Teach regularly and create environments where students can know, love and follow Jesus
• Ensure a visible leadership presence at Sunday gatherings and actively participate in the broader life of AHCC
• Develop a plan for student care, spiritual growth and leadership development through groups, mentoring and discipleship rhythms
• Partner with parents to engage, disciple and invest in students
• Recruit, train and develop volunteers for a variety of student ministry roles who love and disciple students
• Ensure volunteers have clear communication and expectations and given what they need to succeed
• Attend all staff meetings and Leadership Team trainings
• Ensure Safety & Security policies are followed in all youth ministry settings
• Collaborate with the Children’s & Family Director to ensure a cohesive approach to next gen ministry
• Manage the youth ministry budget
• Collaborate with other staff contributing to the broader direction of the church while representing student ministry
