Job summary

Weil Foot & Ankle Institute is seeking a Limited Purpose Xray Technician and Medical Assistant to perform patient imaging with precision and to assist clinicians while handling some office tasks. This full-time role supports multiple locations within our practice network.

The ideal candidate will have a high-school diploma or equivalent, an associate degree or higher in a related area if available, and a current AART certification.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent with associate degree or higher in a related area preferred plus at least 1-year experience working as an X-Ray Technician in a medical practice or similar environment.
• Current California AART certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• Knowledge and full understanding of current radiological standards.
• Hands on experience assisting Physicians with procedures and tasks in patient exam rooms along with a wide range of tasks related to patient care.
• Effective time management and organizational skills including prioritizing daily tasks.
• Ability to communicate logically and clearly verbally and in writing, along with good listening communication skills while maintaining professional and courteous interactions with patients, physicians, and coworkers.
• Must be able to ensure accurate, timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Respectfully accepts coaching and guidance provided constructively to ensure continual improvement, career growth, and development.
• PC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Take required patient images using radiographic equipment.
• Communicate clearly with clinicians on a regular basis.
• Assist Physicians with procedures and patient care tasks.
• Support office administrative tasks and coverage for Medical Assistants.
