Job summary

Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in New York State seeks a Limited Purpose Xray Technician and Medical Assistant who will perform patient imaging and support clinicians with procedures, while assisting with common office tasks and coverage for Medical Assistants.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate degree or higher preferred), ARRT certification, radiology knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work at multiple locations; proficient with Microsoft Office and US work

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent with associate degree or higher preferred.
• 1+ year X-Ray Technician experience in a medical setting.
• Current ARRT certification (Radiologic Technologists).
• Knowledge of radiological standards and patient care tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Take required patient images using radiographic equipment.
• Communicate with clinicians on a regular basis about imaging results.
• Assist physicians with procedures and patient care tasks.
• Support office administration and coverage for Medical Assistants.
• Float to surrounding locations as needed.
