Novant Health Urgent Care is seeking an x-ray technologist to operate radiographic equipment and produce X-ray images to assist providers with diagnosing and treating conditions. The role includes triaging patients, taking vitals, and summarizing visit reasons.

The ideal candidate holds a radiographic technology degree with SC licensure and is willing to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, and at other centers as needed. A strong emphasis on safety and patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-year degree in Radiographic technology (required).
• SC license for radiographic technology (required).
• OSHA/HIPAA compliance training completed.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts and weekends.
• Willing to work at other centers as needed.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic equipment and produce X-ray images to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Triaging and rooming patients; taking vitals and reviewing patient history.
• Summarize reasons for visit for providers.
• Maintain infection control and infection prevention protocols in radiology area.
• Maintain records including patient logs and daily activity.(These lines reflect the HTML list items.)
• Answer calls and schedule appointments as needed.
• Inform providers of abnormal labs/tests and relay physician messages.
• Assist with patient flow and wait times; ensure patient confidentiality.
