Job summary

Aston Group is seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse (RN) to provide specialized wound management for residents. The role emphasizes clinical accuracy, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to drive high-quality patient outcomes.

You will assess wounds, create treatment plans, monitor healing, educate residents and families, and lead wound care procedures with caregivers. BSN preferred, active RN license, and CPR/BLS required; two years of nursing experience and IV

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; graduate of an accredited RN program required.
• Current, active RN license.
• Peripheral IV certification.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience.
• Experience with geriatrics or subacute populations preferred.
• Management or leadership experience a plus.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and updated care plans for all skin impairments.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds with the wound consultant.
• Perform and document weekly wound measurements with accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor and evaluate all new pressure‑related skin openings and determine root causes.
• Assess and manage surgical, arterial, venous, and other complex wounds.
• Ensure all treatments, changes, and follow‑up needs are documented thoroughly.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on wound care procedures and expectations.
• Demonstrate wound care techniques to caregivers to support staff competency.
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary team to support coordinated care.
