Job summary

Facing Hunger Foodbank seeks a Warehouse Associate in Huntington, WV to perform a range of labor tasks supporting the receipt, storage, and distribution of food and donations. Responsibilities include loading/unloading deliveries, stocking items, order picking, and maintaining safety and cleanliness—plus assisting with inventory counts and equipment operation.

A valid driver’s license and forklift certification are required or pursued within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three months or more warehouse experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Stock food and non-food products in the warehouse.
• Picks client and program orders and assists with client pickups.
• Ensures shrink wrap and pallet tags are neat, free of debris and legible.
• Assists with housekeeping of warehouse equipment and buildings.
• Directs and assists warehouse volunteers as appropriate.
• Verifies food safety standards for products and packaging materials.
• Assists Warehouse Director with opening/closing and inventory.
• Maintains current certifications and medical cards as mandated.
