Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Suffolk, VA. You will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while supporting access control and delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires age 18+ for unarmed positions, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a background check; CPR certification is preferred. Benefits include health plans and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or facility concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials as required, and document entries, incidents, and observations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders while completing accurate activity and incident reports.
