Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Deterrence in Norfolk, VA. The role involves patrolling, maintaining a visible presence, and ensuring a secure environment for employees and visitors at an aerospace/defense site.

You will provide excellent customer service, communicate observations clearly, and respond to security concerns with integrity while adhering to site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and policy.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site contacts.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization and document activity.
• Support a professional environment while following Allied Universal protocols.
