Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Perimeter Security in Chesapeake, VA. You will patrol, deter incidents, support access control, and provide excellent customer service at a technology-focused site.

The role requires a high school diploma, background check, and drug screen where permitted by law. CPR and badge/license credentials are preferred, and a valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures per site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and report security concerns to appropriate personnel.
