Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver First Aid in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and operate a vehicle to support a welcoming, secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related needs, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral health concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and help maintain orderly movement throughout the facility.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports for incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
