Job summary

Allied Universal in Sparks, NV is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) to monitor and protect a technology-focused site. You will patrol, deter incidents, manage access, and provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements include at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Pay is $26.16 per hour with a rotating shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, building entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information according to site protocols.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs while supporting a professional, customer-focused environment.
