Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard (Full Time Unarmed Patrol CPR Support) in Jamaica, NY. You will monitor facilities, deter incidents, and provide excellent service while maintaining a professional presence throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include patrolling assigned areas, controlling access, documenting incidents, and responding to emergencies with calm, clear communication. A NYS Security Guard License is required; CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, program participants, and/or vendors while carrying out site‑specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor entry requirements, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Maintain a visible, professional presence that helps support a welcoming environment and helps deter disruptive or unauthorized activity.
