Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in General, Obstetric, and vascular ultrasound. The role demands adherence to department protocols, patient positioning, and collaboration with radiologists.

The schedule includes days with potential evenings, overnights, weekends, and on-call coverage. ARDMS certification is expected within 6–12 months depending on current credentials.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in General ultrasound.
• 1 year experience in Obstetric ultrasound.
• 1 year experience in vascular ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Perform all ultrasound examinations according to department protocols and ACR standards.
• Use imaging techniques and equipment to obtain scans of optimal quality.
• Position patient, adjust equipment and immobilize for quality exams.
• Assist physician during invasive procedures, maintain sterile technique.
• Document pertinent history for each procedure for radiologist interpretation.
• Communicate and fax STAT reports to physicians and units as required.
• Maintain CPR certification and comply with OSHA infection control standards.
• Provide instruction to students and new technologists as needed.
• Work as a team member and maintain patient relations.
• May be asked to work at any Condell location.
