Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a comprehensive range of non-invasive ultrasound procedures, provide complete diagnostic images, and document patient histories. The role requires clear communication of wet read reports to physicians and adherence to infection control standards.

You will work closely with the Ultrasound Department to ensure efficient patient scheduling and departmental operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved School of Ultrasound.
• Registered or Registry Eligible.
• Ability to recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of age group patients.

Responsibilities

• Independently provides complete and accurate images for diagnostic purposes.
• Documents patient history.
• Explains the test procedures to the patient.
• Maintains infection control standards and sterile techniques.
• Communicates “Wet Read” reports to physician offices.
• Interacts with site Manager for smooth daily operation.
• Assists with scheduling exams and coordinating with other departments.
