Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks a licensed mental health professional to deliver individual, family, couples, and crisis counseling within the Uvalde community. The role emphasizes trauma-informed practice and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, documentation within 48 hours, staff meetings, on-call rotation, and outreach presentations, with a flexible schedule to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology, or related behavioral science with clinical experience.
• Licensed to provide clinical services in Texas (LPC/LCSW/LMFT/AMFT/LMSW or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year experience providing counseling to victims of trauma or grief and loss.
• Validated licensure and credentials; reliable transportation and valid driver license with clean record.
• Background checks (state/federal) and child abuse registry check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, couples, crisis counseling and group therapy.
• Participate in service planning, goal setting, discharge planning and clinical rounds.
• Maintain licensure and adhere to professional standards.
• Engage in trauma-informed, evidence-based practice (TF-CBT, ACT, EMDR, DBT, etc.).
• Ensure all clinical documentation, assessments, plans, notes, and uploads are completed timely.
• Participate in outreach events and public presentations on Grace Counseling and Catholic Charities programs.
• Be available for on-call rotation and crisis response as needed.
• Report incidents to Lead Therapist and Program Director as required by licensing/contracts.
• Respond to emails and information requests for stakeholders.
• Bill funding sources for time and services per contracts/grants.
• Collaborate with case workers, school personnel, and medical/legal professionals.
• Attend administrative meetings, retreats and team activities.
• Be sensitive to clients’ cultural and socioeconomic contexts.
