Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio Careers seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide trauma-informed counseling to clients of all ages in community settings. The role requires maintaining licensure in Texas, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and meeting documentation and safety standards.

A flexible schedule and potential on-call rotation support emergency coverage. Responsibilities include individual, family, couples and group therapy, discharge planning, and outreach

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology, or related behavioral science.
• Licensed to provide clinical services in Texas.
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation.
• 1 year of experience counseling trauma survivors or grief.
• Spanish therapy skills or cultural sensitivity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual/family/couples/crisis counseling and group therapy.
• Participate in service planning, discharge planning, and clinical rounds.
• Maintain licensure in good standing with Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council.
• Maintain Trauma Responsive, evidence-based practice across population served.
• Complete clinical documentation within required timeframes and data entry.
• Engage in outreach events and presentations to the public.
• Report incidents to Clinical Director and Program leadership promptly.
• Collaborate with case workers, clinicians, and school personnel as needed.
• Attend administrative meetings and staff trainings; comply with Catholic Charities policies.
