Minnesota-Sports-and-Entertainment in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Full-Time Third Shift Security Officer to patrol Grand Casino Arena and the RiverCentre Complex. The role emphasizes observation, reporting, and response to incidents while assisting guests and maintaining safety.

The position offers $21.00/hour - $26.00/hour with a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement and PTO. Overnight and weekend shifts are required; a background check is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR/AED certification preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience in security, contract security, military, or law enforcement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate security patrols across the campus.
• Secure and unsecure doors as assigned.
• Gather and report information about unusual events on campus.
• Monitor cameras and security equipment and provide clear directions.
• Assist guests with directions and lost persons as needed.
• Record vehicle entries and monitor loading dock access.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with management or local authorities.
• Provide personal escorts when requested and perform dock marshal duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Full- Time Third Shift Security Officer:$21.00/hour - $26.00/hour

Position Summary: The Security Officer collaborates to ensure a safe environment for all individuals within our facilities. The purpose of this position is to observe, report, and respond to any conditions that affect the safety and/or security of the Grand Casino Arena, 317 On Rice Park, and the RiverCentre Complex.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Perform timely and accurate security and safety patrols throughout the campus.
• Secure and unsecure doors as assigned.
• Gather and report any information about unusual events that occur on campus.
• Monitor and operate security equipment, providing clear, effective, and friendly direction.
• Effectively search bags and personal belongings.
• Perform various guest service activities, including, but not limited to, welcoming guests to the facility, providing directions, or assisting with lost people.
• Complete and record vehicle entry into the loading dock.
• Monitor and operate security cameras and communication systems attentively.
• Knowledge and ability to act on building alarm systems and response protocols.
• Observe and respond to incidents and report them to the appropriate management staff and/or the St. Paul Police/Fire Departments.
• Verbal removal of unwanted guests within the facility.
• Respond to requests for assistance from employees and guests.
• As requested, provide personal escorts to and from locations within the campus facilities.
• Ability to perform dock marshal duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR/AED Certified preferred or willing to become within 6 months of employment.
• Previous experience in a security-related field, experience in a uniformed contract Security Company, military, or law enforcement preferred.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Proven reliability, dependability, and flexibility.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations; ability to accept direction.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Previous experience in monitoring video surveillance is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze current situations and implement recommended solutions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and other department personnel and management.

Work Conditions:

• This position works irregular hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays, based on events; hours are primarily third shift.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
• Lifting requirements – must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
