Full Time Technology Integration Specialist

Atlantis Charter School, Fall River, Massachusetts – full time, 12‑month position with sick, personal, and vacation time and flexible summer hours.

Job Description

The Technology Integration Specialist works with teaching staff in K‑12 to assist in incorporating technology into the physical and virtual classroom and provides tech support for students and families. The Specialist supports equity, human rights, and cross‑cultural understanding and reports to the Principal or designee.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Technologies or related field.
  • Massachusetts DOE certification in Instructional Technology or related field.
  • At least three years of classroom teaching experience with extensive knowledge of technology integration.
  • Knowledgeable about hardware/software and school software inventory.
  • Expert working knowledge of the Windows operating system and Google Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to relate well to others.
Roles and Responsibilities

Establishing and Maintaining Systems

  • Establish and maintain a coordinated system to inventory student devices.
  • Organize and oversee the process of issuing student devices, including conducting conduct forms, updating device policies, and ensuring device readiness.
  • Maintain a system for students to return or exchange devices.
  • Collaborate with Site Leaders to configure school technology systems that support student learning.
  • Maintain a system for receiving student/family technical support tickets.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the school’s long‑term technology plan.
  • Recommend software purchases and renewals.
  • Maintain inventory of student and teacher accounts and passwords for all programs.

Staff Support

  • Identify priority areas for professional development based on staff surveys, new programs, policy changes, software updates, and identified gaps.
  • Train staff on required programs; model use as necessary.
  • Support teachers in integrating technology into classroom instruction.
  • Organize training materials for easy accessibility.
  • Assist staff in meeting technology needs of all students, including assistive technologies for students with disabilities.

Student/Family Support

  • Serve as a technical support resource for students and families.
  • Respond to technology issue reports within 24 hours and work to resolve them.
  • Conduct regular Google Meet training sessions for students and families.
  • Assist families in accessing community internet resources.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager to troubleshoot issues lacking immediate solutions.
  • Report IT repair issues to the Information Technology Manager.
