Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) invites applications for two full-time English faculty positions to teach technical and professional writing and first-year composition at CNM. The roles involve teaching 15 credit hours per term across Fall and Spring, with emphasis on curriculum design, assessment, and support for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Composition and Rhetoric, Technical and Professional Communication, or closely related field.
• Four semesters of post-secondary teaching experience in writing.
• Experience with curricular design and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in technical and professional writing and first-year composition.
• Create and model a quality learning environment for diverse learners.
• Structure classes to align with program and course outcomes.
• Prepare and distribute instructional materials and syllabi.
• Attend required meetings and participate in college service.
• Update curriculum to ensure currency and participate in program outcomes review.
