Qualifications

• Knowledge of the principles of early childhood development and preschool education.
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Excellent communication and instructional skills.
• Ability to mediate between children.
• ECD 101 course completed or willing to complete within 6 months (paid by the company).

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of educational techniques (e.g., storytelling, educational play, media) to teach children.
• Observe each child and help them improve their social competencies and self-esteem.
• Encourage children to interact positively with each other.
• Guide children in developing artistic and practical capabilities through curriculum activities.
• Organize the classroom schedule and supervise children for safety.
• Collaborate with co-workers.
• Maintain a clean, tidy classroom following health and safety standards.
• Follow the curriculum and lessons provided by the company.

Overview

Aspire Early Learning Academy is accepting applications for full-time teachers at our West Columbia location. Great teachers will have a love and desire to care for and educate children under the age of four. We are seeking full-time teachers who have knowledge of best practices for early childhood education and can engage them and earn their trust and attention. We aim to continue contributing to children's healthy mental and emotional development so they can excel in kindergarten. The hours will vary between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.

Teacher Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of educational techniques (e.g., storytelling, educational play, media) to teach children.
• Observe each child and help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
• Encourage children to interact positively with each other.
• Guide children in developing their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (e.g., identifying shapes, numbers, or colors, making crafts, etc.).
• Organize the classroom schedule and supervise children to ensure their safety at all times.
• Collaborate with co-workers.
• Maintain a clean, tidy classroom in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Follow the curriculum and lessons that are provided by the company.
• Follow the guidelines of DSS, DHEC, and Aspire Early Learning Academy.
• Work effectively with a small team of co-workers.

Required Skills
