Job summary

LearnWell in Chestnut Hill, MA is seeking a passionate teacher to support 13-18 year-old students in a behavioral health facility. The role is full-time, with a 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, in a small classroom setting serving 8–12 students.

You will deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance, and regularly communicate student progress while adjusting teaching strategies to promote success.

Qualifications

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• MA teaching license.
• Comfortable working with adolescent aged students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable Transportation.

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Chestnut Hill, MA on a full-time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility providing academic support to adolescent aged students (13-18 yrs old) in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 12 school-age patients at any one time.
Position entails a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
