Spa 23's FINS Swim Academy is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Full-Time Swim Instructor to join our dynamic aquatics team. This unique role combines hands-on swim instruction and vital administrative responsibilities to ensure a seamless, engaging experience for our swimmers and their families. As a key team member, you’ll teach group and private lessons, respond to public inquiries, manage communications, and help maintain the smooth daily operations of our programs. You'll foster a safe and welcoming environment, enforce pool safety, and work closely with a supportive team of professionals. Full Time Swim Instructor: To perform a combination of office tasks and swim instruction. This position will require the following daily tasks:
· Use excellent customer service skills and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, members, and visitors
· Directs the patrolling of the pool and the enforcement of safety rules and regulations
· Assist with updating schedule documents and assignments for accuracy.
· Teach group swim lessons, lifeguard, and teach private swim lessons
· Respond to public inquiries about aquatics programs via telephone or in person
· Checking Swim School emails on days director is not present
· Daily updating of parent page on Facebook
· Team communication to maintain smooth flow of all programs
· Filing of documentation related to the program.
· Promotes interest and provides information regarding aquatics programs to school officials, community service groups, other departments, and the general public
· Other duties and responsibilities assigned by Aquatics Director
Full Time Swim Instructor Qualifications:
· Must be American Red Cross Lifeguard certified
· Must have a minimum of 1-2 years experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor
· Preferred background containing swim team level training
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
· Experience with face to face, telephone, and email communications
· Patient, warm and friendly team player
· Well organized and efficient
