Job summary

South College is seeking a Full Time Faculty – Surgical Technology to deliver didactic, clinical, and lab instruction to students. Courses are offered on campus during the day and at affiliated clinical sites in the Knoxville area.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology education program, and possess national certification. Two years of OR or instructional experience and strong communication and technology skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a recognized agency.
• Must possess a credential in surgical technology through a national certification program (NCCA).

Responsibilities

• Provide didactic, clinical, and laboratory instruction in Surgical Technology.
• Deliver high-quality teaching to support student learning and skill development.
• Conduct courses on campus during the day and at designated clinical sites in the Knoxville area.
• Guide and mentor students in academic and clinical settings to ensure program success.
