Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing the surgical operating suite and assisting during surgery, with a focus on critical thinking and the ability to work in stressful environments.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide nursing care appropriate to the patient population assigned.
• Experience in an acute‑care hospital setting preferred.
• Certification as a Surgical Tech licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Pass instruments to the physician during surgery.
