As a Store Manager Trainee, you’ll train on all aspects of successfully running a store in preparation for managing your own store. Responsibilities include supervising daily store activities, ensuring store performance, staffing, scheduling, developing operational plans, and mentoring the team.

Position Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Hours: 45 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $28.50/hour
• Potential Year 1 Earnings: Up to $103,500 (including salary and bonuses; varies by location)

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI’s core competencies and professional skills.
• Supervise daily store operations and team performance to deliver excellent customer service.
• Communicate and model company values to foster teamwork.
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues.
• Maintain store signage, product quality, and freshness.
• Participate in hiring, review resumes, interview candidates.
• Manage weekly schedules and staffing levels.
• Set clear responsibilities and performance expectations.

Physical Demands

• Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform store duties including standing, bending, reaching, and walking.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Operate store equipment safely.
• Stay organized and detail-oriented.
• Meet state requirements for handling alcohol (if applicable).

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 3 years in retail, management experience preferred.

Travel

• Training may occur at multiple locations; travel flexibility required.
