Job description

As a Store Manager Trainee, you'll train on all aspects of successfully running a store in preparation for managing your own store. Responsibilities include supervising daily store activities, ensuring performance, managing staffing and schedules, and mentoring the team.

Position Details:

• Type: Full-Time
• Hours: 45 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $28.50/hour
• Potential Year 1 Earnings: Up to $106,000 (including salary and bonus, varies by location)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Key tasks include:

• Supervising store operations and team performance
• Communicating company strategy and core values
• Handling customer concerns and resolutions
• Maintaining store signage, product quality, and freshness
• Participating in hiring and training staff
• Managing schedules and performance expectations
• Conducting meetings and evaluations
• Achieving payroll and loss budgets
• Monitoring the competitive environment and providing feedback
• Ensuring safety and proper store maintenance
• Overseeing inventory, merchandising, and stock levels
• Adhering to company policies and confidentiality

Physical Demands:

• Stocking merchandise, lifting up to 45 pounds
• Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and walking regularly

Qualifications:

• Must be 18+ years old
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Customer service and leadership skills
• Understanding of company policies and performance management
• Experience with budgeting, operating equipment, and organizational skills
• State and local requirements for handling alcohol

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least 3 years retail experience, management preferred

Travel:

Training may occur at multiple locations, requiring travel within divisional areas.
