Job summary

ALDI in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Store Associate to handle merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and cleaning, contributing to a clean, well-stocked store and a positive customer experience. You will work with the ALDI team to deliver friendly service and maintain store standards.

Average hours are 30+ per week with starting wage of $18.50 per hour and scheduled increases in years 2–5. Responsibilities include operating the POS, assisting customers, and following safety policies to support

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary.
• Inform store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Utilize POS system to scan and process purchases and report scanning issues.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures.
• Open additional check lanes to ensure efficient checkout.
• Stock shelves and displays neatly following merchandising planograms.
• Complete curbside pickup orders accurately and timely.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assist management in achieving operational efficiency and loss goals.
• Ensure a safe working environment and proper equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
