As a Store Associate, you’ll be responsible for merchandising and stocking product, cashiering, and cleaning to keep the store looking its best. You’ll enhance the customer shopping experience by working collaboratively with the ALDI team and providing exceptional customer service.

Position Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Hours: 32-40 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $17.50/hour
• Wage Progression: Year 2 - $18.00 | Year 3 - $18.50 | Year 4 - $18.50 | Year 5 - $19.50

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, perform cleaning, stock shelves and merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team and management
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, scanning errors, and issues
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor accuracy
• Adhere to cash policies to minimize losses
• Follow all company policies, ensuring security and confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform physical tasks regularly
• Sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk within the store

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older
• Strong customer service skills
• Efficient operation of cash register
• Ability to operate equipment safely
• Ability to perform cleaning duties
• Good understanding of company policies
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Organized, attentive to detail, able to multitask
• Legal requirements for handling alcohol (if applicable)

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
