Job summary

LINE-X in Fishers, Indiana is seeking a hands-on technician to prepare vehicles for spraying, apply LINE-X bedliners and undercoating, and ensure thickness, coverage, and finish quality.

You will follow safety procedures, maintain equipment and records, collaborate with the Technical Lead and sales, and help deliver durable results with excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in spraying or automotive coatings is preferred or training provided.
• Mechanical aptitude with comfort using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for spraying, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface prep.
• Apply LINE-X bedliners and undercoating products using specialized spray equipment.
• Ensure proper product thickness, coverage, and finish quality.
• Follow all safety procedures, product guidelines, and shop standards.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and keep spray areas clean and organized.
• Inspect finished work for quality and durability before vehicle delivery.
• Communicate daily with Technical Lead and sales to review workload.
• Work efficiently to meet production schedules while maintaining attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate daily records as instructed.
• Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Prior experience in spraying, automotive coatings, body shop work, or similar hands‑on roles preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment
• Valid driver’s license required, clean driving record preferred
